Comfy Cozy Fall
God has been showing me a different view about fall recently and it's been a super amazing experience. Usually there has been such a push to celebrate Halloween and that's fall. However, this year has been different for me. I forgot and quite honestly, didn't realize how beautiful fall was until I went for an early morning run and saw some townhomes entryway full of leaf decorations, scarecrows that were PRETTY not scary, some pumpkins in their natural state, and corn stalks. It was sweet and immediately made me smile. I thanked the Lord for that visual and the reminder/revelation of what fall really is!
This isn't just from my standpoint, but I believe there are others that are starting to see the true value of Harvest! It was meant to be beautiful, cozy, calm, loving, read-a-book-snuggle, fires and s'mores. Evil has changed it to dark and death. They have twisted so much of God's creative seasons. For instance, the witch hat. Did you knooooow that the witch hat was actually derived from a Judenhut and a hat that the quacker oat guy wears? Yeah! I know!
So, the hat that the European medieval Jewish men wore is a similar looking pointy type hat, but yellow and white in color. To be honest, it looks like the Sorry game piece! Take a look here. Well, evil has twisted a sacred hat into antisemitism and dubbed it as witchcraft. The enemy is a jealous-loser.
The other way the enemy has twisted this hat is derived from the the Quacker men and women who wore one in the 17th century. There hats look like the Quacker Oats guy (who resembles William Penn). Quacker women who were often accused of witchcraft due to their radical beliefs and public roles. Quaker women were members of Religious Society of Friends, a Christian group founded in the 17th century that has historically emphasized the spiritual equality of all people, regardless of gender. They believe that women could receive a direct call from God to preach and lead as well as the men.
In Nantucket, Quaker women managed the women’s meetings for business, which gave them authority over marriage approvals, moral governance, and community welfare, especially during periods when men were away at sea. Susan B. Anthony and Alice Paul were both Quaker women. They believed that all people were held equal in God’s eyes. This movement has also been twisted by the enemy and now we have women similar to Quacker women but have agendas from the devil about abortion and so much more, but that's for a different blog post!
George Fox
was a quaker as well. He was charged with Religious heresy by Justice Gervase
Bennet. Bennet called them quakers because Fox made them tremble at the word of
the Lord. Fox and others believed that it was possible to have a personal
experience with Christ without the help of ordered ministry!
Pastor Kent Christmas spoke about the power that comes from the Word of God and how it has transformed situations throughout all of time. For instance, Daniel in the lions den. Here is the link to that powerful sermon! Turning something that was meant to be godly and sacred was twisted into an evil hat that came with weight of evil promoting himself! I should have known better because Satan twists everything but alas, witch hats don't have anything on God's season anymore. Will you be a quacker? Will you change fall into something powerful, peaceful, cozy, and beautiful? I decree and declare that fall is a time of harvest and celebration. I decree that fall is a time of thanksgiving and praise! I declare that there be rest in this season for all of this nation and may we remember what God has created and get off the enemies frequencies. In Jesus name, Amen!
