Be Imitators

Ephesians 5:1,2 WALK IN LOVE

"Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma."

How many of us grew up watching TV? *Raises hand* It wasn't out of our parents fault of allowing it, but that it was just something we all just did. We had Friday movie night or we had those nightly sitcoms that we all watched together as a family, and of course those late night programs where your parents allowed you to stay up and watch TV but little did they know that it was MTV and their gross programing. 

And those commercials!?! How many of us saw those commercials where it was "call this 1800 number and you can have a night of fun with a woman on the other end..." Oh yes, all those commercials that only aired when you weren't supposed to be up watching them, or calling those numbers. 

Now sex is always in front of us, through HBO stuff and EVEN Disney. Yes I said it! 

There is a new movie from Disney and in the movie, the little character talks about having sex! Seriously?!? Disney, what happened to you?

This is why we don't know how to love... we see it in front of us that it is okay to love each other but only.... only if you give me a sexual desire that I want. Or only if you wear this type of stuff will I see you love me. For instance, the sex drive. Women who have high sex drives could use it to their advantage by manipulating their husbands into their spider web, OR they could do the opposite and use it but be taken advantage of and their husbands expect a pornographic wife or girlfriend because the woman is displaying their love for their husband not realizing that they are being taken advantage of. . . well the buck stops now.

How about we be imitators of God and allow the love that Jesus displayed for us by being the sacrifice for God so we could be set free. How about we set our minds to invite Jesus to show is His love to us and we show our love in return by spending time with Him.

Let God fill your "love tank" and experience the heart change that comes through knowing the love of Jesus Christ, which is free, satisfying, and everlasting! Don't turn to entertainment anymore, don't be taken advantage of, put your foot down to Satan and say, "no more!" and let GOD!
