Crocheting To Bless

Image
Some of the activities that I have been doing in my life, is crocheting. When I start on a project, I'll ask the Lord who He would like for me to bless this time. As I was creating this sweater, I didn't have anyone on my heart until it was finished. A wonderful beautiful 13 year old girl got this one. I love surprising people with handcrafted gifts. It brings so much delight!

My Provider

Unsplash-Sixteen Miles Out Today started out a little too early for me but all is well. Emma woke up at 3:00am and didn't want to go back to sleep. Very unlike her, so I know that this will not be a daily routine thing. I did learn a few things through my tiredness hanging out with her and the Lord.  Philippians 4:18,19 (NLT) "...they are a sweet smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God. And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."  Paul was grateful of the Philippian church that sent him a financial gift of help and he was stating that these gifts were sweet-smelling to the Lord. While I was in the kitchen with Caleb getting my coffee, I smelt a beautiful flowery smell. I asked him, "do you smell that?" He said that he didn't. I said that maybe it is the Lord allowing me to smell it and described the smell as spring flowers. Sometimes sacrifices com...

Rejoice During Grief (Part 2 - Apostleship)

Image
It has been a whirlwind of activities, cold snaps and death. We lost Pepper, our kitty, on December 27, 22. We aren't exactly sure why or what happened. So, this last week has been a struggle. God has been showing me to rejoice during this time and points to Paul's word in Philippians 4:11, "not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content." God has also been revealing that during this circumstance, I am to stay steadfast and " strong and courageous ." In 2 Timothy 4, Paul speaks to his suffering and how " the Lord stood at [his] side and gave [him] strength ." Just as Jesus was fully man and fully God, the Bible is both a divine and human book. With Almighty God as its Originator, it is completely true, without error in its original form, and thoroughly trustworthy.  Feed on God's word during every high and every low! 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and i...

How to be an apostle? (Part 1 - Apostleship)

Image
Alex Shute  faithgiant.com I just finished with my mentorship through Spiritual Intelligence on how to interpret dreams. We went through an extensive 14-week challenge. We went into detail how the Word of God helps us to better understand that all dreams come from Him and how they are interpreted only by His Spirit. We discussed how to pray prior to interpreting dreams due to the biasness that we have as humans and how to shut off the brain so we aren't distracted by our own understanding so that the Lord may speak loudly and clearly to us.  Towards the end of the course, we were given a huge challenge and task to take 3-5 dreams of our own and any prophecies that were spoken over us and put them together in a dossier.  What is a dossier? Most of us know that it is something of presidential and they use it on a daily basis as their briefings mostly in the morning when they start their day. The definition of a dossier is a collection of information on the same subject th...

Be Imitators

Image
Ephesians 5:1,2 WALK IN LOVE "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma." How many of us grew up watching TV? *Raises hand* It wasn't out of our parents fault of allowing it, but that it was just something we all just did. We had Friday movie night or we had those nightly sitcoms that we all watched together as a family, and of course those late night programs where your parents allowed you to stay up and watch TV but little did they know that it was MTV and their gross programing.  And those commercials!?! How many of us saw those commercials where it was "call this 1800 number and you can have a night of fun with a woman on the other end..." Oh yes, all those commercials that only aired when you weren't supposed to be up watching them, or calling those numbers.  Now sex is always in front of us, through HBO stuff and E...

Bring Your Guard Down

In high school, I dated. I was dumped a few times and man, that sucked. The pain and trauma that comes from being dumped isn't fun. It even plays a major factor, I believe, on our human ability to love. Do we even know what it means to love? Do we know how to receive love? Or give it? Take a stroll down "Love Trail Lane" with me and see what the Father has to say! Ephesians 3:14-21 "For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding...
